Our staff has provided environmental, energy, engineering, and planning support to numerous clients, including the Department of Defense, General Services Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Justice, Department of Interior, Environmental Protection Agency, and commercial clients and state agencies.


Solv's founders are Tom Grome and Purvagna Amin. They have dedicated their careers to providing practical solutions to environmental and public health issues for federal, state, and commercial clients.


Tom Grome has spent 29 years directing numerous multi-million dollar programs involving the prevention and treatment of multi-media wastes, process engineering, research and development, information management, and homeland security. Before forming Solv, Tom was Vice President of Eastern Research Group's (ERG's) Engineering & Science Division for 11 years. Tom supervised the successful performance of more than 200 federal and state contracts with project budgets totaling over $220 million. For 13 years prior to joining ERG, Tom served in various senior operations, business development, and program management positions with Radian International. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.


For more than 15 years, Purvagna Amin, PE and LEED AP, has led projects for government and industrial facilities and applied his knowledge of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) evaluations; environmental permitting and compliance; environmental management system (EMS) development and implementation; facility and master planning, energy management; engineering studies; cost estimation and life cycle economic analyses; training; pollution prevention; and emerging environmental issues. Prior to forming Solv, Purvagna served as a Vice President and Group Manager within ERG's Engineering & Science Division. While at ERG, Purvagna helped grow the federal facilities planning and engineering practice from approximately $300,000 to $8 million of annual revenue. He has successfully managed more than 150 projects with budgets totaling over $30 million. Purvagna holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University.
